The two-day workshop, held at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), 9-10 April 2026, New Delhi, India, brought together clinicians, biomedical engineers, photonics researchers, and AI practitioners to explore how light-based technologies and modern AI can address real healthcare challenges in areas such as imaging, diagnostics, monitoring, and therapy. The goal of the workshop was to connect laboratory innovations with practical applications in patient care by highlighting translational pathways, real-world constraints, and opportunities for collaborative projects between clinicians and scientists.
Our team member, Jesil Jose, has introduced the STARDUST project, presented the SERS-microfluidics platform being developed at SINTEF, and explained how it can be adapted for biological applications.
